To the Beet of my Heart

Beets! They're like one of my favorite things right now. Isn't this watermelon looking one pretty? Whether you're using it for roasting, juicing, they're great for pretty much everything. This past weekend, i posted a video on how to juice with a blender (check it out below)! Many of you asked if I could do some more juicing recipes, so here is one of my current faves.

This juice contains a lot of vitamin c's which is great for fighting off a cold this time of year. This is mildly sweet and my favorite part is the slight spiciness of the ginger. Health in a glass. I hope you enjoy!

Beet, Carrot, Ginger, Orange, and Apple Juice

1 small beet
1 carrot
1 inch piece of ginger
1 clementine or 1/2 an orange
1/2 granny smith apple
1/2 cup water

Directions:

Clean and combine the beet, carrot, ginger, clementine, granny smith, and water into a blender. Blend until smooth.

Pour your juice into a nut milk bag. With clean hands, squeeze the juice out until dry. Discard the fibers and enjoy your drink!
