First Wedding Anniversary

One year ago, I married my best friend and partner in business, life, everything. Our first year together was one of the most challenging of my entire life. We passed many milestones - a new job, a remodel and move, a puppy, and sadly, a major death in the family. I am so thankful to have had my husband by my side through all these life events and, despite the cliché, these "tests" continue to build and strengthen our relationship.

In celebrating our first anniversary I'd like to share our wedding video with you below. Click on the photo to play!

Our wedding reception music was performed the amazingly talented Erisy Watt. I heard her singing at the farmer's market during a trip in Santa Barbara and HAD to get her to sing at ours. She is also the singer in our wedding video, and it just so happens that "Ho-Hey" was what caught my attention! So thankful it worked out. She has the voice of an angel.

Because Sunset is such a special place to me (I used to work there), I wanted to incorporate more of it into our wedding. Using some of my favorite Sunset recipes for our dinner buffet, we also printed out these recipe cards of what the guests were eating as favors! Now you we can share them with you too!

One of my favorite things about our wedding was this dessert bar. I am a huge cake lover and my husband loves pies. There was no point in fighting over what we should do, so we did it all. 5 cakes, 4 pies, 150 happy guests. Our creative friend Ellie hand-wrote all of our wedding signs, labels, and even the cake topper! She did such a beautiful job. Another friend Aislin brought our names to life and laser-cut the cake topper.
