Cinco De Mayo is right around the corner so what better way to celebrate it than with a Margarita! I've been interested in using a quality tequila and decided to try Casamigos, which is actually George Clooney's brand. We also had a little fun with this shoot, as you can see in the video below, and filmed it Wes Anderson style (Royal Tenenbaums, Grand Budapest Hotel, etc). Enjoy and Happy Cinco de Mayo! (stay tuned for another Cinco de Mayo recipe next week). Margarita Recipe below.
Margarita Recipe (use quality ingredients):
- 1.5 oz. Tequila. I used Casamigos Blanco and it tasted amazing!
- 1.5 oz. Cointreau (or you can use Triple Sec or Grand Marnier)
- 1 Lime's juice
- 1 tbsp Agave Syrup
- Ice and Shaker
- Kosher Salt
Pour the Tequila, Cointreau, Lime Juice, and Agave Syrup into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until the shaker gets frosty. Add a handful of Kosher Salt to a plate. Take a lime wedge and thoroughly wet the rim of a glass. Then turn the glass upside-down and coat the rim with salt. Add an ice cube and strain out your Margarita over the ice. Enjoy!
