This Butternut Squash Galette was something I've been dreaming of making for Thanksgiving Dinner since September. No joke. This is the first year that Nate and I are hosting Thanksgiving together, so I am really excited to menu-plan all of the wonderful things that we get to eat. Recently I got some practice for this tart when our friends all got together for Friendsgiving (stay tuned for the next post). So fun to have 2 Thanksgivings!
This will also be the first Thanksgiving without my dad. Growing up we would watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade together and somebody (I think it was my sister) would make the turkey. Do you know about Turkey in a bag? Well that's exactly what we made! I prepared the classic sides - Green Bean Casserole, Mashers, Sweet Potatoes with Marshmallows, and Cranberry Sauce. Those were the days. We don't get to celebrate so often together during the holidays anymore due to various family commitments but it's nice to have memories to reflect on.
What do you plan to make for Thanksgiving?
