Madeleines are pretty special, so special that I want to name my first born daughter after them, Madeleine! They’re small, light sponge cakes with a distinctive scallop pattern. Today I’ll infuse them with matcha green tea for an earthy note and finish them with a dunk in white chocolate.
Each bite is a bouquet of flavor - that subtle earthy matcha flavor, the buttery fluffy texture, a bright note from the orange zest, and that sweet white chocolate coating rounds it all out. So delightful! It’s perfect with a cup of black tea in the afternoon.
